Golf Course
The Heathers Club of Bloomfield Hills features a 9-hole championship golf course designed by renowned architect William Newcomb. The golf course offers a challenging 3,250 yard, par 35 layout with a USGA slope rating of 142. The Scottish links style offers ample venture for the avid golfer with its challenging terrain, bunkers and natural hazards, yet is pleasurable to the novice with rolling hills and exquisitely maintained greens. The Heathers Club is rated among the top courses in Michigan and offers spectacular scenery of preserved wetlands rich with wildlife.
The Heathers Club is designed to make the most of our members' time. The 9-hole layout allows active families and busy executives time to enjoy a round of golf without interfering with the day's events. Of course, when there is time for 18-holes, take advantage of the additional tee boxes for a challenging new orientation the second time around, or as many of our members do, play the same tee boxes for both rounds and compare your scores.
1001 Golf Holes You must Play Before You Die, Edited by Jeff Bar
"Don't be fooled by the lack of a back nine. These nine can play with anybody. And No. 8 is at the top of the list. Standing on the tee you're looking at what they like to call a reverse pyramid. The further you hit the ball the more of the fairway you will find." "On the right of this very scenic hole is a large lake, and golfers can usually see a large variety of birdlife."
