MONDAY MENS LEAGUE RULES

 

1.      U.S.G.A. Rules will prevail except where agreed upon by the league. In the

 event of a dispute, the rules of golf and or decision by the league officers

 shall prevail.

 

            2. HANDICAPPING

                Handicapping will be based on the U.S.G.A.  Equitable Stroke Control for 9

holes system. Handicaps will be computed weekly as listed on the back page

under “HANDICAP PARAMETERS”.

 

            3. SCORING

                Scoring will be based on matches of two, two man teams computed weekly as

                listed on the back page under “POINT CALCULATION PARAMETERS”.

                You may pickup after reaching your Equitable Stroke, you then concede the

                hole. Opponent must playout hole or till ES. Player conceding must take ES or

                one stroke more net than opponent, to lose the hole.

 

            4. SUBS

                Members who cannot play their scheduled night may arrange for a sub and

                MUST notify league secretary. A team can play its match using:

                a. both regular team members.

                b. one regular member or sub (uses his score for other player).

                c. two subs

            d. no players or subs –  115% of their average score.

            Example: handicap 10, 10 + 35 = 45, 45 x 115% =51, score = 51

 

            5. TEE TIME

                At the foursomes time to tee off they must proceed to play the hole at normal

            pace, no waiting for late players. If a team or player is missing from the group,

            they may join the group at the next available hole where they can tee off

            together. A team that does not show will use 115% of their average score

            based on handicap *(write in score) per hole missed. One lone player will use

            his score for partner , until partner shows.

 

             6. MAKE UPS

                If a team can’t play one  week, you may schedule a make-up with other teams

                within one week prior to schedule date. You Must Contact team, league officer,

                and pro shop.

 

7. NO winter rules or Pick and Clean, MUST play ball as it lies, unless       

    determined otherwise by pro shop due to course conditions.

 

 

8. BALL OUT OF BOUNDS

U.S.G.A. Rules - Loss of one stroke and distance, If you are not sure if you

went out, hit a provisional ball. You don’t drop where the ball went out.

You re-hit from original spot.

 

            9. LOST BALL IN PLAY AREA

                Time Limit: 2 min to look for ball. Penalty 1 stroke, re-hit from original spot.

 

            10. Play from White tees.

 

            11. RAIN

                  No matches will be postponed due to rain during working hours. It will be

                  determined upon by the league officers and pro shop prior to start time.

 

            12. RAIN OUTS

                  In the event of a rain out the week will be canceled unless a makeup can

                  be added to the end of the season, weather and time permitting.

                  If one of the foursomes is unable to complete five holes before play is called,                              the night will be considered  a rain-out.

If all of the foursomes have completed five holes before play is called, points

will be calculated for the five holes played or as many as all teams equally have played, the remaining holes will be considered a tie and the points will be split.

 

            13. SCORE CARDS

                  Write in actual scores, TURN IN CARDS TO SECRETARY. Missing cards

                   will forfeit points.

 

            14. CHAMPIONSHIP

In the event of a tie at the end of a season a playoff will begin on the first hole and continue until a hole is won. Daylight permitting, if not cards matched from high handicapped hole for most points.

 

            15. PENALTIES

                  Teams with both players missing more than twice without subs will not be

                  given preference for next years entry.

                  Individuals missing more than five times may be bumped back to the sub list

                  next year.
